David Rachels was critically injured in mid-March when he was riding his scooter to work and a Dodge Ram pickup truck ran a red light.

Rachels was thankfully wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet, but he did sustain multiple severe injuries.  He had broken bones, a collapsed lung, and bruised or lacerated organs including damage to his liver.

In addition to outpatient therapy and physical therapy, Rachels has had various specialized doctor visits and is now undergoing hyperbaric treatments five days a week for the next 6-8 weeks. Hyperbaric treatments help wound healing by bringing oxygen-rich plasma to tissue starved for oxygen, according to John Hopkins Medicine. Since starting the treatment, David Rachels has made even more progress.

Today he is improving each day, and thanks Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for accelerating his healing journey.
