Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Isle of Man has received it’s new HBOT chamber from Germany. While the facility is closed at this time, the new “state of the art” chamber is expected to replace two chambers.

Hyperbaric chambers can be used to treat a number of conditions such as decompression sickness and serious infections.

The new chamber, which was ordered last year, has been imported from Germany.

A spokesman from the Hyperbaric Chamber Charity said it’s a “monumentous” step but there’s a lot of work to get it ready for public use.

The charity has ramped up its appeal for more funding and hopes to re-open the service next year.
